InvadHirst
HENI Editions releases InvadHirst, a limited-edition print collaboration by Damien Hirst and Invader. The print is the second of several upcoming HENI Editions releases by Shepard Fairey, Damien Hirst and Invader which are based on their new collaborative works currently on view at the Triple Trouble exhibition. The InvadHirst prints are available from 30 October until 17:00 GMT on 10 November 2025. The number of editions will be limited by demand during the release window.
The InvadHirst edition is a 21-colour silkscreen print on Somerset Satin cotton paper and is presented in a white aluminium frame. The work measures 86.2 x 108.7 cm (framed). All works will be hand-signed by the artists on the front and hand-numbered.
In InvadHirst, Invader’s iconic Space Invader motif is brought into dialogue with Hirst’s Spot Paintings, one of Hirst's most recognisable series. Set against a stark white background, twenty uniquely coloured Space Invaders are arranged in a strict grid, this ordered geometry reinforced by the structure of the original tile.
InvadHirst showcases the exciting common ground between Invader and Hirst’s practices and sheds new light on some of their long-established ideas. The grid structure of InvadHirst is a characteristic of Hirst’s Spot Paintings, but it also evokes the organisation of Space Invader characters in the arcade game that inspired Invader's motif. Invader creates the spot-like, pixelated creatures that occupy this grid from his wide-ranging palette of tiles, ensuring that, like in Hirst's Spot Paintings, no two are the same colour.
The InvadHirst edition is currently on view at the Triple Trouble exhibition at Newport Street Gallery. The original paintings, sculptures, installations and mosaics in the show are also available by application on HENI Primary.
