A Giclée print after Gerhard Richter’s painting ‘Cage (6)’ (2006), ‘Cage 6’ (P19-6, 2020) is characterised by its shimmering fields of textured colour. Entrancing bands of aqua green, citrus yellow, black and Prussian blue ripple across the picture plane in this visionary composition. A strikingly abstract composition, this complex image defies literal interpretation, inviting viewers to try and understand the work on an emotional and philosophical level.
