Based on the second of Gerhard Richter’s acclaimed ‘Cage Paintings’ (2006), ‘Cage 2’ (P19-2, 2020) is a mesmerising Giclée print that captures with remarkable fidelity the varied texture and distinctive colours of the original. Lighter in colour than many other works in the series, ‘Cage 2’ is predominantly pale grey, white and lime green, with smaller areas bright red and darker grey.
