The first monograph of celebrated French Poet and philosopher Eugénie Paultre, Outline presents 80 of Paultre's recent paintings and drawings, created in 2016 and 2017.
A master of colour, Paultre's abstract works feature carefully selected lines of colours that create beautifully balanced and evocative visuals. Paultre applies the same philosophical insight and poetic prowess used in her academic and creative writing to her painting, resulting in powerful, meditative works.
This book features an introductory text by Emmanuel Daydé and notes by Eugénie Paultre in both English and French. Published to coincide with the exhibition Outline by Eugénie Paultre showcasing a selection of works featured in the book at HENI Gallery from 20 April to 13 May 2018.

Eugénie Paultre (b. in Paris in 1979, lives in Paris and Normandy) studied then taught philosophy at the Sorbonne, and since 2010 she has devoted herself to painting and writing. She is the author of numerous essays, novellas and poetry collections in English, German, and French published at Al Manar and Manuella Editions, Paris. Matter of Life is the second publication HENI Publishing, London, has dedicated to Paultre, following the release of Outline in 2018. Paultre has held solo exhibitions at the Institut français, Bratislava (2019), Gandy Gallery, Bratislava (2019) and Erna Hecey, Luxembourg (2020). She has recently taken part in group exhibitions at Castello di Rivoli (2017), Mudam, Luxembourg (2019) and Lévy Gorvy, Paris (2021).
Emmanuel Daydé is an art historian, dramatic critic and essayist. He organises Nuit Blanche in Paris since its creation in 2002 while he writes in the magazines Art Absolument, Connaissance des Arts, Art Press and Air France Magazine.
