New York's Museum of Modern Art unveils Pierre Huyghe's installation, UUmwelt, on July I. Presented in the museum's sculpture garden, the French artist and a team of researchers in Japan have delved into human consciousness using machine learning and a human subject.
The museum will close in March 2027 for the work to be done.
Works by Andre Brasilier and Sadamasa Motonaga were among the 74% of lots selling above their low estimate at Christie's '20th/21st Century Online' auction on May 19-29 in Hong Kong. The sale totaled $1.43m (HKD11.17m), meeting the pre-sale estimate.
The painting was bought by British businessman Joe Lewis directly from Freud's dealer.
