Sotheby’s Will Sell Francis Bacon Portrait of George Dyer with High Estimate of $50m

Francis Bacon's portrait, which has a $30m–$50m estimate, is part of a New York contemporary art evening auction in May. The 1966 work is the first monumental single-panel portrait of Dyer to appear at auction in a decade, Sotheby's announced.
