Works by Monet and Mikhail Larionov were among the 67% of lots selling above their low estimate at Sotheby's Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction on June 24 in London. The sale totaled $128.6m (£97.05m), meeting the pre-sale estimate.
Adriana Varejao, Parede com Incisão à la Fontana 3 (Wall with Incision à la Fontana 3) (2002), sold for $814,000 (GBP614,400), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on June 24.
Balthus, Le Vase bleu (1963), sold for $678,300 (GBP512,000), more than three times the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on June 24.
Raoul Dufy, Rue pavoisée au Havre (1906), sold for $1.02m (GBP768,000), less than the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on June 24.
Roy Lichtenstein, Despair (1979), sold for $1.53m (GBP1.15m), more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on June 24.
