Kpop star RM has already drawn a crowd to San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) and his show does not even open until Saturday.

Dozens of his fans lined the streets earlier this week when the BTS singer attended a private media launch including one couple who told the San Francisco Chronicle they had traveled from London in the hope of catching a glimpse of him.

The singer told reporters he was "nervous" about making his curatorial debut with the show of work from his own collection, adding that he felt "guilty" about collecting.

He said: "Like, do I really need to carry so many unnecessary things that I don’t even need? Have I ended up becoming just a boring rich snore? Well, maybe. But I thought it would be nice if other people could see those as well.”

SFMOMA, where his show runs from October 3 to February 7, is not the only museum to benefit from his generosity - it was recently announced he has given 100 million Korean won ($74,000) to the National Museum of Korea in Seoul to buy new works.

The amount of money that comes with a MacArthur Fellowship "genius grant" paid out over five years. This year's 20 recipients feature four artists including Christine Sun Kim and Chip Thomas.

Dozens of works by the Baghdad Modern Art Group will feature in a new show at Doha's Arab Museum of Modern Art.

The show, which opens next month and is curated by Nada Shabout, includes work by Jewad Selim and Shakir Hassan Al Said, who founded the group in 1951, as well as other members including Lorna Selim and Faiq Hassan.

Mathaf director Zeina Arida said the show would be a "testament to one of the most consequential movements in the history of Arab modernism".

A painting stolen to decorate a club for Nazi officers in wartime Warsaw is going back on show in the city after it was donated to Poland's National Museum.

Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski's Winter – Napoleon's Retreat from Moscow was on show in an exhibition in the city in 1939 when the Germans invaded and seized it along with other works.

Its current owner, whose father bought it in Krakow in the 1960s, decided to hand it back when she discovered its history.

Two other works stolen from the same collection at the same time, by Anna Bilinska-Bohdanowicz and Kazimierz Alchimowicz, are still missing.

1 - The director and head of security at the museum of Villena, near Alicante, could face charges of negligence over the theft of its hoard of Bronze Age gold last month. The proceedings, which were also brought against the town's mayor and deputy mayor, come after thieves walked off with gold bowls, bracelets and bottles.

2 - Munem Wasif is the first person to take part in a new scheme bringing Bangladeshi artists to Oxford's Ashmolean Museum. The project is being run by Nadia and Rajeeb Samdani's Art Foundation with the museum which will also begin to build a contemporary art collection from the country.

3 - Stephanie Rosenthal has been appointed artistic director at Rotterdam's Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and will start work next year. She is currently director of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi which is set to open on December 11 and was previously director of Gropius Bau in Berlin.

4 - Nicole Sales Giles has become global head of Zero 10 - Art Basel's digital art platform. She was previously vice president of Christie's digital department in New York.
