The Picasso Museum is the latest Parisian institution to announce a multi-million dollar makeover.
Its president Cecile Debray said a $60 million sculpture park, next to the museum, will house around a dozen bronzes made by the artist.
Among them will be Picasso's 1950 sculpture, The She-Goat, currently on show inside the museum. The institution will also get a new wing dedicated to temporary exhibitions as part of the project.
The plan is backed by the city and the French government and Debray said it had been informed by "dialogue" with the artist's family.
His daughter Paloma told journalists the garden would be "full of life - like my father".
The announcement comes as the Musée d'Orsay undergoes a renovation around its main entrance, the Louvre is looking for an architect to lead its $158 million renovation and the Pompidou Center has just closed for a five-year revamp costing $585 million.
