The scheme, which runs from October to December, is an attempt to bring more 18 to 29-year-olds to the historic museum run by director Simone Verde and which is home to work by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Titian among others.
4 - A major Roy Lichtenstein show at New York's Whitney Museum next month could be hit by strike action.
Staff announced today they have set a strike deadline for Monday, October 5, if they do not receive what they regard as "a fair contract offer", which is six days before the show is due to open to the public.
