1 - The Museum of Contemporary Religious Art (MOCRA) at St. Louis University is closing down after 33 years.
Founded by Terry Dempsey, a Jesuit priest and student, its final show opens tomorrow and ends on May 31. Its collection, including work by Jordan Eagles and Romare Bearden, will move to the St. Louis University Museum of Art.
2 - Marko Daniel is standing down in June after eight years in charge of the Joan Miro Foundation in Barcelona.
The foundation, currently celebrating its 50th anniversary, praised his "steadfast commitment and dedication" which it said had led to "eight years of transformation, international expansion and institutional consolidation".
3 - New York businesswoman Jen Rubio has been elected a trustee of the city's Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Rubio, whose husband Stewart Butterfield co-founded Slack and Flickr, was formerly a trustee at the Whitney Museum and founded the luggage and travel accessories firm Away.
4 - Helio Oiticica's Magic Square #3 will be the late Brazilian artist's first outdoor sculpture to be unveiled in Europe when it comes to the Goodwood Art Foundation this year.
The work, along with pieces by Nancy Holt, Lee Ufan and Yayoi Kusama feature in its annual summer season opening on May 2 at its base in southern England.
5 - Frieze Los Angeles opens to VIPs today.
The art fair is based at Santa Monica Airport and runs to March 1 with around 100 galleries involved.
