A former curator at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., Wile previously worked at the Frick a decade ago where he organized a show of Jean-Antoine Watteau's paintings.
2 - Anca Benera and Arnold Estefan will represent Romania at this year's Venice Biennale.
Their work, Black Seas-Scores for the Sonic Eye, is described as a "multi-layered audiovisual and sculptural installation" tracing the history of the sea and the major rivers that flow into it.
3 - The announcement of the winner of this year's $100,000 Pritzker Prize for architecture will be "delayed slightly" from its usual date in the first week of March, the New York Times reports.
It comes after Tom Pritzker, the director of the foundation that awards the prize, resigned from his role with the family firm, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, over his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
4 - Lucia Sanroman and Aimee Harrison have been named co-curators of the 14th Liverpool Biennial which runs from June 5 to September 12 next year.
Harrison is a veteran of the event, having been involved since 2019, and Sanroman is currently chief curator at Mexico City's Museo Universitario Arte Contemporaneo (MUAC).
5 - Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos will be honorary chairs of this year's Met Gala in New York after previously being announced as its sponsors.
