The Taichung Green Museumbrary, home to an art museum and a library co-designed by Pritzker prize winning Japanese architects SANAA, officially opens on December 13 with a show curated by staff from the US and Romania as well as Taiwan.

A Call of All Beings: See you tomorrow, same time, same place features new commissions from artists including Karolina Breguła as well as existing work by Joan Jonas and Joseph Beuys.

Mexico City's Museo Dolores Olmedo will re-open in 2026 six years after it closed its doors.

The museum, which holds a major collection of work by husband-and-wife Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, shut during the pandemic and said the reopening comes after a "four-year restoration, research, renovation and archive cataloguing”.

But its future is still unclear with CEO Dolores Phillips, who is the granddaughter of its founder Olmedo, previously saying the collection may move to a new home in Mexico City's Aztlan urban park - an idea which has sparked protests by former staff and people living around the house museum in Xochimilco.

1 - Yale University Art Gallery will dip into its endowment to find $200,000 for an exhibition of African art rather than apply for federal funding that requires it to sign up to Trump administration guidelines on anti-DEI language. A spokesman for the gallery in New Haven said it withdrew two grant applications over "concern the exhibition did not meet the granting organizations’ criteria".

2 - It is back to the 1990s for the Latvian Pavilion at next year's Venice Biennale. Untamed Assembly: Backstage of Utopia will look at the legacy of UFA, a fashion and art cross-over event held in Riga in the 1990s, and be curated by Inga Lāce and Adomas Narkevičius.

3 - Former Rolling Stone Mick Taylor says a guitar stolen from him in 1971 has ended up in New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. The museum is yet to comment but earlier this year announced more than 500 classic guitars have been donated to its collection.

1 - A Claes Oldenburg show will bring together sculptures and prints dating back to the 1960s. This & That opens tonight at Pace Gallery's Tokyo outpost as part of the 65th anniversary celebrations of the business.

2 - The Sean Kelly Gallery in Los Angeles is hosting a new group show, Ground Work, curated by Joey Lico, co-founder of private members art club The Cultivist. The show, which opens tonight, brings together 15 artists inspired by Man Ray and Marcel Duchamp's photograph Dust Breeding, 1920.

3 - Two shows open tonight at The Hole on the Bowery in New York. It is hosting the third solo show by Mathew Zefeldt, a landscape painter who captures scenes from the digital world of the video game Grand Theft Auto, and a group show Herbivore made up of artists who feature plants in their work.
