1 - Lina Lazaar's new London arts center dedicated to work by international artists opens its doors for the first time next Wednesday.
The art critic, whose father Kamel Lazaar is a banker and philanthropist, is opening the six-storey building at 93 Mortimer Street to host exhibitions, talks, screenings, music and artist residencies.
2 - Visitors to the Acropolis in Athens can enjoy unobstructed views of the Parthenon for the first time in decades after scaffolding on its western facade was removed.
But state broadcaster ERT warned the removal may be temporary with more maintenance work planned for the ancient site.
3- A total of 66 artists from more than 20 countries including Abul Hisham and Gieve Patel will take part in the Kochi-Muziris Biennale in Kerala, India.
The largest contemporary art biennale in South Asia, it is curated by Nikhil Chopra and runs from December 12 to March 31.
4 - Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Crowns (Peso Neto) (1981) has gone on show in London until next Thursday ahead of its sale by Sotheby's in New York.
It was part of his ever solo show and is estimated to fetch as much as $45 million at auction.
5 - Josef Koudelka's 1989 photography series Gypsies set a new auction record for the photographer when it sold for $283,800 at Phillips in New York on October 9.
The sale beat his previous auction record by $182,200, a 175% rise.
