1 - Canadian artist Steven Shearer has his first solo show in the UK in almost 20 years opening tonight at David Zwirner's London gallery.
The show, My Moody Muse, includes his largest ever painting titled The Wizzer which was only completed this year and which stands almost nine feet high.
2 - South African artist Kimathi Mafafo’s solo exhibition, Passion Flower, is inspired by a species of tropical flower her grandmother used in medicine.
The show, which opens today at Berlin's Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery, includes work created in collaboration with two women whom she trained in embroidery for several years.
3 - Daniel Arsham's show Time Fold, which opens today at Perrotin in London, includes never-before-seen drawings from his archives dating back more than 20 years.
They are shown alongside sculptures and paintings including some of his eroded classical figures such as the Grey Selenite Eroded Bust of Zeus in which the features of the mighty Greek god are worn away.
4 - Willie Cole's show, Mind, Body, and Soul, which opens today at Sargent's Daughters in New York includes large-scale prints and his signature found-object sculptures.
The works on show include discarded shoes, bottles and musical instruments all repurposed in sculptures.
