It is open to students across the state of Minnesota and closes on May 9 with the best three going into an open global competition. Floyd’s death in 2020 after police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck sparked the Black Lives Matter protests around the world.
3 - The proposed site of the US Pompidou Center in Jersey City will be used for affordable housing after mayor James Solomon confirmed the planned museum will not go ahead.
A spokesperson for the center said the cancelation was "linked to the uncertainties that can arise in the development of long-term projects" but said it was "more determined than ever to share its collection with new audiences".
