Zizipho Poswa, uNozakuzaku I (Negotiator) (2020) sold for $44,500, more than two and a half times the low estimate at Phillips in New York on February 28. The glazed stoneware and bronze work has been traded once in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $1,677, a 3% rise.
