Yayoi Kusama Work Sells for $509,400 to Deliver a 17% Annualized Return

Yayoi Kusama, Pumpkin (1991), sold for $509,400 (GBP381,000), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 7.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $450,000, equivalent to an annualized return of 17%. It last sold at auction in 2013 for $59,400 at Sotheby's.
