Willem de Kooning, Paging Women (1964) sold for $1.14m, more than twice the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 16.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $883,000, equivalent to an annualized return of 7%. It last sold at auction in 2005 for $260,000 at Sotheby's.
