Wilhelm Lehmbruck, Rückblickende (1914), sold for $56,000 (EUR48,300), more than the low estimate at Kunsthaus Lempertz in Cologne on June 5.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $20,700, realizing a 26% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2007 for $76,700 at Kunsthaus Lempertz.

Cast stone, with a yellowish tint, lightly patinated with shellac. The work has not been traded before.
