Wayne Thiebaud Work Sells for $152,400 to Deliver a 5% Annualized Return

Wayne Thiebaud, Knife (1972), sold for $152,400, more than three and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in New York on February 27.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $134,400, equivalent to an annualized return of 5%. It last sold at auction in 1988 for $18,000 at Sotheby's.
