Wassily Kandinsky, Le rond rouge (1939), sold for $16.73m (GBP12.54m), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 5.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $3.89m, realizing a 18% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2018 for $20.62m at Sotheby's.
