Wang Xiyao, The Crystalline Moon Palace no.4 (2022) sold for $73,400 (HKD571,500), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Phillips in Hong Kong on November 26. The acrylic and oil stick on canvas, diptych work has not been traded before.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $8,726, a 13% rise.
