Vu Cao Dam, Portrait of a young girl (1933), sold for $68,700 (HKD537,600), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's Hong Kong in Hong Kong on March 30.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $24,900, realizing a 26% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2020 for $93,500 at Christie's.
