Vivan Sundaram, Inbetweenness (1967) sold for $896,000, more than 11 times the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on March 26. The Oil on canvas work has not been traded before.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $603,100, a 200% rise.
