Uzo Egonu Work Sells for $136,200 to Deliver a 27% Annualized Return

Uzo Egonu, Man with glass of beer (1979), sold for $136,200 (GBP102,000), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Bonhams in London on March 19.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $101,200, equivalent to an annualized return of 27%. It last sold at auction in 2020 for $35,100 at Bonhams.

Oil on canvas, 152.0 x 124.0cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
