Uros Predic, A Girl (Angelina, the Artist’s Niece at the Age of 7) with a Book in a Red Armchair (1884) sold for $192,100 (EUR169,500), more than 11 times the low estimate at Dorotheum in Vienna on April 28. The oil on panel work has been traded twice in the past.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $144,400, a 300% rise.
