Martha Diamond, who painted New York’s streets and skyscrapers in colorfully expressionist canvases, has died aged 79. She had recently joined David Kordansky Gallery, notes ARTnews.

Rising talent Wang Tuo has won the Sigg Prize, reports ARTnews. The $64,000 award for Chinese artists was founded by the Swiss mega collector Uli Sigg and is organised by Hong Kong’s M+ museum.

Sharon Stone’s solo show “is a brutally honest purging of the actress' past”, writes Observer. It is closing soon at C. Parker Gallery in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Russian collector Dmitry Rybolovlev is suing Sotheby’s over his past purchases, including a $83m sculpture by Modigliani. The litigious oligarch accuses the auction house of helping a Swiss art dealer trick him into overpaying, the New York Times reports.
