Thomas Malton Jr., North front of Westminster Abbey (Undated) sold for $53,800 (GBP40,600), more than six and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on December 4.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $7,688, a 16% rise.

The previous record was set by The new bank Milsom Street Bath (Undated), which sold for $46,100 at Sotheby's on March 12, 1987.
