A number of artists represented by Thaddaeus Ropac are presenting new work and significant installations in Venice, timed with the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. These exhibitions commenced as early as May 6, 2026, and extend through late November, spanning various prominent locations across the city.
Among the featured artists, Florentina Holzinger presents SEAWORLD VENICE at the Austrian Pavilion, on view from May 9 to November 22, 2026. Alvaro Barrington’s exhibition, In Minor Keys, is situated at Ca’ Tron, Università Iuav di Venezia, running from May 9 to June 28, 2026. At the Palazzo Cini Gallery, Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Emilia Kabakov and the late Ilya Kabakov are featured in Venetian Diary, which opened on May 6 and continues until September 27, 2026.
Concurrently, Georg Baselitz’s Eroi d’Oro is on view at Museo Fortuny from May 6 to September 27, 2026. David Salle contributes to the main Biennale exhibition with Present-Tense Painting at the Arsenale, alongside a separate presentation at the Venetian Pavilion. Erwin Wurm’s Dreamers is also installed within the Giardini. These presentations collectively contribute to the broader artistic discourse in Venice during the Biennale period.
