Tadao Ando's Auction Record Increases by 3%

Tadao Ando, Blue Rose in the Cube Study 1 (2018) sold for $114,400 (GBP88,200), more than nine times the low estimate at Christie's Online on March 12. The acrylic glass and fabric work has not been traded before.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $4,382, a 3% rise.

The previous record was set by Red tea house (2007), which sold for $110,000 at Sotheby's on February 14, 2008.
