The City of New York has announced the appointment of Storyline, a filmmaking collective, as its Public Artists in Residence for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. Comprising artists Michael Premo, Rachel Falcone, and Jean-Michael Dissard, the collective will lead 'One World, One Game,' a multimedia initiative focused on documenting the cultural impact of the global sporting event across the city's five boroughs. The project is slated to commence around July 13, 2026, and continue through the tournament and beyond.

Through film, photography, short documentaries, and video postcards, 'One World, One Game' aims to capture the diverse expressions of World Cup fandom throughout New York City. The initiative will engage with various communities and neighborhoods, highlighting how the tournament is experienced by the city's global population, from the days leading up to the matches, during the tournament, and after its conclusion.

The project is a collaboration with the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and the Mayor’s Office World Cup team, underscoring the city's intent to position the World Cup as a significant civic and cultural moment. Rachel Falcone and Michael Premo, representing Storyline, stated, 'This is a love letter to the immigrants and global communities that make this country what it is. New York City is where the World Cup is not just watched—it is lived, in every language, neighborhood, and gathering place. Through ‘One World, One Game,’ we want to document the World Cup not only as a global sporting event, but as a civic and cultural moment shaped by the everyday experiences of New Yorkers.'
