Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam Opens Yayoi Kusama Retrospective

The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam is poised to host a retrospective dedicated to Yayoi Kusama, opening September 11–January 17, 2027. This exhibition, titled Yayoi Kusama Retrospective, distinguishes itself through its close development in collaboration with the Japanese artist and her studio. This direct personal involvement from Kusama herself is a significant aspect of the exhibition.

The exhibition will present over 70 years of Kusama's artistic output. It will encompass her career, tracing the evolution of her vision across more than 7 decades of creative practice, from early beginnings to recent creations.
