Sprüth Magers Berlin will host two new exhibitions opening for Gallery Weekend Berlin, May 1, 6–9pm, running through August 1, 2026. The gallery will present utopisch, a group exhibition featuring works by Thomas Demand and Robert Elfgen. Demand is known for his photographic engagement with paper models, while Elfgen’s practice incorporates assemblages, collages, light objects, sandblasted glass, and wood paintings.
Concurrently, Martine Syms will present her exhibition DISPLAY, PAUSE, REPEAT. Syms's work frequently explores themes of visual culture through various installations.
In addition to the exhibitions, Sprüth Magers will feature a temporary boutique by Dominica Publishing, open from April 27–May 9, 2026, with extended hours on May 2 and 3 from 11am–6pm.
Further programming includes an art talk focusing on the work of Hanne Darboven at the Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin, on May 2 at 12:30pm. An associated display will also be presented at the KaDeWe window from May 2–3, 2026.
