Sotheby's New York has announced its June Design Week 2026, scheduled to take place at The Breuer building from June 2 through June 11. The program includes a public preview exhibition alongside three landmark auctions dedicated to art and design from significant collections.

The auctions will present a range of modern and contemporary works, including pieces by artists such as Richard Prince, Alex Katz, Alberto Giacometti, and François-Xavier Lalanne. Mid-century European and Brazilian modernism will be represented through designers including Jean Prouvé, Jean Royère, Charlotte Perriand, and Pierre Jeanneret, alongside American Studio furniture by George Nakashima and Mira Nakashima.

Notable consignments include works from the collections of Barbara Gladstone, Emmanuel de Bayser, and Marlo Thomas and Phil Donahue, offering a curated selection of design and fine art.

The offerings will encompass painting, sculpture, photography, and decorative arts. Highlights are expected to include ceramic sculpture by Georges Jouve, functional objects by François-Xavier Lalanne, and Harry Bertoia's wire constructions, which feature a Dandelion sculpture. The event provides a comprehensive overview of design from the 20th and 21st centuries, incorporating various mediums from bronze to wood.
