Sotheby's to Auction Robert and Adriana Mnuchin Collection, Estimated Over $130 Million

Sotheby's will present the collection of Robert and Adriana Mnuchin for auction this May, with the sale anticipated to achieve upwards of $130 million. The collection is notable for its concentration on significant modern and contemporary works, encompassing pivotal pieces across Abstract Expressionism and other key artistic movements.

Prior to the auction, a public exhibition, "Robert Mnuchin: Collector at Heart," will be on view from March 11-15 at Sotheby's Breuer building. This preview will feature a selection of paintings and sculptures from the collection, including works by artists such as Mark Rothko, Willem de Kooning, Franz Kline, Jeff Koons, and David Hammons.

The Mnuchin collection reflects a history of sustained connoisseurship, cultivated by Robert E. Mnuchin, a recognized figure in both finance and the art market, notably through his establishment of Mnuchin Gallery.
