Sotheby's London Announces June Modern and Contemporary Art Sales and Exhibition

Sotheby's London has announced its upcoming Modern and Contemporary Art exhibition, scheduled to be on view from June 18 to June 23, 2026. This exhibition precedes a series of auctions set for June 24 and 25, focusing on a broad spectrum of modern and contemporary artistic practices.

The sales will include works by prominent artists such as Claude Monet, Peter Doig, Mark Rothko, Amedeo Modigliani, Lucian Freud, Pablo Picasso, and Gustav Klimt. A dedicated auction, 'Masterpieces from The Lewis Collection,' will be a key highlight, offering significant pieces from the private holdings.

The auction schedule begins on June 24 with the Masterpieces from The Lewis Collection auction at 6pm, followed by the Modern and Contemporary Evening Auction at 7pm. The sales continue on June 25 with the Contemporary Day Auction at 12pm, concluding with the Modern Day Auction, which will also incorporate works from The Lewis Collection, at 3pm.
