Sarah Lucas’s latest public commission, titled VENUS VICTORIA, was unveiled at the New Museum on May 12 during the city's Art Week. The sculpture will remain on view for two years on the museum’s Public Plaza, marking a significant addition to the institution’s commitment to showcase work by female artists.

Known for her provocative and often humorous approach to sculpture and installation, Lucas frequently engages with themes of gender, sexuality, and the body, drawing on everyday objects and popular culture.

The installation was supported by the William “Beau” Wrigley Jr. Foundation, the Deborah Buck Foundation, and Åke and Caisa Skeppner.
