Sanyu Work Sells for $121,800 to Deliver a 17% Annualized Return

Sanyu, Femme à la robe grise (1920) sold for $121,800 (EUR107,900), more than two and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's, Online on April 11.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $115,100, equivalent to an annualized return of 17%. It last sold at auction in 2007 for $6,716 at Artus Associes.

Ink and watercolor on paper laid down on cardboard, 32.5 x 43.8cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
