Alexander Calder Work Sells for $146,100 to Deliver a 1% Annualized Return

Alexander Calder, Untitled (1970) sold for $146,100, more than two and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 16.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $26,800, equivalent to an annualized return of 1%. It last sold at auction in 2009 for $119,200 at Christie's.
