Sandy Calder Work Sells for $8.57m to Deliver a 3% Annualized Return

Sandy Calder, Sumac VI (1952) sold for $8.57m, more than one and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in New York on November 19.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $2.67m, equivalent to an annualized return of 3%. It last sold at auction in 2012 for $5.91m at Sotheby's.
