Salvador Dali Work Sells for $226,900 to Deliver a 1% Annualized Return

Salvador Dali, Polyphème (1968), sold for $226,900 (EUR192,000), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in Paris on April 17.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $47,000, equivalent to an annualized return of 1%. It last sold at auction in 2012 for $179,900 at Christie's.

Gouache, watercolour and ink on paper, 45.0 x 38.6cm. The work has been traded 4 times in the past.
