Salvador Dali Work Sells for $245,300 to Deliver a 9% Annualized Return

Salvador Dali, Dumont et Martin (Illustration au Marquis de Sade) (1968), sold for $245,300 (HKD1.92m), more than the low estimate at Sotheby's Hong Kong in Hong Kong on March 30.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $175,800, equivalent to an annualized return of 9%. It last sold at auction in 2012 for $69,400 at Galerie Kornfeld.

Gouache and watercolour on paper, 55.9 x 45.7cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
