The Saint Louis Art Museum in Forest Park has released its schedule for June 2026, outlining a diverse array of exhibitions and public programs. The offerings span from 19th-century Impressionism to contemporary art and ancient civilizations, reflecting the museum's broad collecting and interpretive scope.
Highlights among the new presentations include Women Impressionists and the Land, which will feature works by artists such as Blanche Hoschedé-Monet, opening in June 2026. Contemporary artist Martine Syms will also be featured with her exhibition Martine Syms: Soliloquy, beginning June 12. Looking ahead to autumn, Picturing Independence, an exhibition centered on stained glass work by Francis Deck and Emil Frei & Associates, is slated to open on October 17.
Ongoing exhibitions through the summer and fall provide further engagement. Ancient Splendor: Roman Art in the Time of Trajan remains on view through August 16, offering insights into Roman Imperial art. Aymara Weavings: The Indigenous Andes, showcasing textiles from an Aymara artist, continues through September 13. Additionally, Visions of Antiquity, featuring albumen prints by James Anderson, will be accessible through October 18.
Complementing the exhibitions, SLAM has scheduled cultural events, including Rest Reimagined—A Juneteenth Celebration on June 19, and the evening program SLAM Underground—MUSE on June 26, further engaging its audience with art and community.
