The Royal Academy of Arts has announced key details for its Summer Exhibition 2026, with artist Ryan Gander appointed as the coordinating artist. The exhibition will focus on the theme of 'Interconnectedness', reflecting on contemporary dialogues within art and society.

Presented in the Main Galleries at Burlington House, Piccadilly, the annual exhibition will open on June 16, 2026, and conclude on August 23, 2026. It is set to feature a comprehensive selection of contemporary art and architecture.

Gander’s involvement is anticipated to offer a distinct curatorial approach to the institution’s long-established open-submission show. The Summer Exhibition continues to be a notable event for the artistic community, providing a platform for both established and emerging practitioners.
