Roy Lichtenstein, Portrait (1986), sold for $1.13m, more than one and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in New York on February 26.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $264,700, realizing a 18% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2018 for $1.4m at Sotheby's.

Acrylic, oil and graphite on canvas, 142.6 x 91.4cm. The work has been traded 12 times in the past.
