Roger Bissiere Work Sells for $43,400 to Deliver a 3% Annualized Return

Roger Bissiere, Composition 106 (Gray-green background, pink stain) (1953), sold for $43,400 (EUR36,800), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in Paris on April 16.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $31,400, equivalent to an annualized return of 3%. It last sold at auction in 1984 for $12,000 at Christie's.
