Robert Ernest Roe, Battle of Trafalgar, 21 October 1805 (1881) sold for $84,000, more than twice the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on February 6. The oil on canvas work has been traded twice in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $27,000, a 47% rise.

The artist’s previous auction record was set by the same work, selling for $57,000 at Christie's on May 11, 2000.
