Richard Learoyd, Tatiana in Red with New Red Chair (2012) sold for $76,800 (GBP57,600), more than two and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on March 5. The camera obscura Ilfochrome print flush-mounted to aluminium, in artist's frame work has not been traded before.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $14,900, a 24% rise.
