Rene Magritte Work Sells for $6.12m to Deliver a 4% Annualized Return

Rene Magritte, Rêverie de Monsieur James (1943) sold for $6.12m (HKD47.56m), more than the low estimate at Christie's in Hong Kong on March 28.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $1.03m, equivalent to an annualized return of 4%. It last sold at auction in 2020 for $5.09m at Sotheby's.
